I thought I’d knock up a quick post with my favourite snaps of the ICANN Marrakech meeting. Here they be:

Prime minister Jetou waves on his wave out

The venue itself – Palais de Congres

Mouhamet Diop ends his board term

The Brazilians liven up proceedings

The Moroccan IT boys on the last day after a week of hard work

The Whois saga in one slide

Wendy Seltzer makes a point by registering as “Ann Onymous”

The delights of the Marrakech main square are a highlight

New Board member Rita Rodin with Paul Twomey

A graph showing just how advanced the Internet industry has become

Governments meet in the grand surroundings

Board members paying no attention to proceedings

Catherine Gabay chats over lunch at the main conference hotel

ICANN’s PR man Andrew Robertson proves irresistible

Love the Vint Cerf one – I knew he was a great man, but I didn’t know he could fly!
Yes, I was very pleased with that shot. It was just what I was after – I was waiting for the hands to swing out and back in again but had to get the shutter speed just right so you got the hand blur but Vint’s face was still clear. I would have preferred more movement in the arms, but hey.
One of the good things about being stuck in a conference centre for hours is that you can experiment a bit. I’m still undecided as to what meaning you can attach to the pic though.
