We're on the south bank here – where the port places are – looking over the river to the cafe area of main Porto. The boat is the traditional boat used to transport barrels of port from the vineyards miles inland to Porto where they were stored and aged. These days trucks and roads are used but a few of the boats are kept moored up. for tourism purposes.
